Sarah Dong, President

Sarah Dong is the President & Chief Executive Officer at Follow Us to Success. By the time she was 26 years old, Sarah earned four degrees from an Ivy League institution: 

  1. Master of Business Administration, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

  2. Master of Science in Engineering, University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science

  3. Bachelor of Science, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude

  4. Bachelor of Applied Science, University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, cum laude

While Sarah enjoyed success as an investment banker at leading financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, The Blackstone Group and PNC Financial, it is her passion for creating educational opportunities – and then watching others succeed from these opportunities – that prompted her to go to Follow Us.

Sarah sits on the Board of the Wharton Club of Houston and the Executive Board of PennNYC, the University of Pennsylvania's umbrella organization for NYC-based alumni. She is a judge in the annual Penn Wharton Startup Challenge and coaches public school students for the annual Science Olympiad competition.

Taylor Yacono, LMSW, Executive Vice President

Taylor Yacono is the Executive Vice President at Follow Us to Success. Taylor was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She attended public school for both her elementary and middle school education. For high school, Taylor attended Fontbonne Hall Academy, an all-girls private Catholic school located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Taylor aspired for a career to work with and help people. Following this path, she received her Bachelors Degree in Counseling and Human Services with a minor in Psychology at The University of Scranton. Continuing her education, Taylor was accepted into the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where she earned her Masters in Social Work with a practice method in clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups. Her prior work experience includes teaching in the NYC DOE and working with organizations including the Women's Resource Center, Partnership with Children, and HeartShare St. Vincent's.

When not working, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching old Disney movies and taking relaxing trips to the beach.

Javier Guerrero, Head of Business Development

Javier Guerrero is the Head of Business Development at Follow Us to Success. A Brooklyn native, Javier is an individual with an expansive appreciation for Chicago and Houston, where he is excited to be developing new programming. Pursuing his studies through the BA/MA program in Mathematics at Hunter College at the City University of New York, Javier developed a passion for education and science. While attending Hunter, Javier also collaborated with the Jazz department and actively performed with various musicians. Having work experience as a private academic and musical instructor, Javier has helped propel students from all levels towards their personal and musical goals. Having a keen love for the diverse educational and energetic culture that is present in all, Javier channels that same energy into his work. 

During his off-time, Javier enjoys working with computers and organizing hardware workshops. Javier also loves spending time discovering new and emerging musicians and artists.
