The Advisory Board at Follow Us LLC is a team of highly-experienced professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience. The Board guides Follow Us in achieving its goals and mission to bring relevant and intentional services to its students and clients. 


Mr. Scott Schneider, Board Member

Mr. Schneider holds degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University. He grew up in Houston, Texas but began his career in the Midwest, first at Progressive Insurance as a member of the web development team and then at McMaster-Carr managing their finance department. In 2006, he moved back to Houston, where he applied his work experience to expand Accumulators, Inc., a local hydraulics and oil field company, at which he is President. Throughout his tenure at Accumulators, Inc., he has developed strong training practices to both hire and develop local talent. He and his wife live with their three children, one dog, and two cats in Katy, TX.


Mrs. Maya Sadhukhan, Board Member
Mrs. Sadhukhan holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta, in India. She immigrated to the United States with her husband, also a chemist, in the early 1970s, and settled down in Houston, TX. She has over 30 years' experience working in chemistry and education. Mrs. Sadhukhan began her career at the Baylor College of Medicine, where she was a chemist. She was promoted to Senior Chemist when she ventured into industry at Core Laboratories. Driven by a desire to help students in her community, Mrs. Sadhukhan also worked as an HISD high school chemistry teacher in the early 2000s. Today, she is retired, enjoys gardening, and working on select STEM-related projects, such as her advisory role with Follow Us. She is based in Houston, TX.


Mr. Navin Pal, Board Member
Mr. Pal holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Williams College, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Prior to graduate school, he spent three years at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. working with financial derivatives. He began his legal career as a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP and is currently practicing at the boutique Loeb, Block & Partners LLP. Mr. Pal is conversational in Spanish and is based in New York, NY. 

 

Dr. Daniel McCarthy, Board Member and Special Technical Advisor
Dr. McCarthy is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Emory University's Goizueta School of Business. He holds PhD in Statistics, a Bachelor's degree in Economics, summa cum laude, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, summa cum laude, all from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. McCarthy began his career working for a hedge fund before moving to McMaster-Carr, where he supervised divisions within the Finance department and the warehouse. In 2015, he co-founded a predictive analytics company, Zodiac, where he was the Chief Statistician. Zodiac was acquired by Nike in March 2018. He subsequently co-founded Theta Equity Partners to commercialize his work on customer-based corporate valuation. He is based in Atlanta, GA.

Ms. Hadley Diest, Board Member
Ms. Diest holds a Bachelor's degree, with distinction, from Wellesley College and an M.B.A. from Stern Business School at New York University. Ms. Diest began her career as an investment banker at UBS in the New York office, after which she spent several years in the education space at New Leaders for New Schools, first taking on the role of Director of Operations and later as the Director of Strategic Planning. She is the founder and CEO of Minc Beauty, a London-based company that delivers beauty and wellness treatments to the workplace. She is based in London, UK.

Mr. William Rasmussen, Board Member
Mr. Rasmussen holds a Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard University, where he studied history. He holds an M.B.A from The Wharton School and an M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Rasmussen has worked as an international correspondent with Reuters news agency and as a consultant with Monitor Deloitte. In high school, he was a champion junior figure skater. At Harvard, he skated for Harvard Figure Skating, in addition to playing for the Harvard Ice Hockey Team. He is fluent in Arabic. He is based in New York, NY.
