Sarah Dong, President & CEO

Sarah Dong is the President & Chief Executive Officer at Follow Us to Success. By the time she was 26 years old, Sarah earned four degrees from an Ivy League institution: 

  1. Master of Business Administration, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

  2. Master of Science in Engineering, University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science

  3. Bachelor of Science, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude

  4. Bachelor of Applied Science, University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, cum laude


While Sarah enjoyed success as an investment banker at leading financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, The Blackstone Group and PNC Financial, it is her passion for creating educational opportunities – and then watching others succeed from these opportunities – that prompted her to go to Follow Us.

Sarah lives in New York City. She sits on the Executive Board of PennNYC, the University of Pennsylvania's umbrella organization for alumni based in the Greater NYC area. She is a judge in the annual Penn Wharton Startup Challenge and coaches NYC public school students for the annual Science Olympiad competition.


Taylor Yacono, LMSW, Vice President & COO

Taylor Yacono is the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Follow Us to Success. Taylor was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She attended public school for both her elementary and middle school education. For high school, Taylor attended Fontbonne Hall Academy, an all-girls private Catholic school located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Taylor aspired for a career to work with and help people. Following this path, she received her Bachelors Degree in Counseling and Human Services with a minor in Psychology at The University of Scranton. Continuing her education, Taylor was accepted into the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where she earned her Masters in Social Work with a practice method in clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups. Her prior work experience includes teaching in the NYC DOE and working with organizations including the Women's Resource Center, Partnership with Children, and HeartShare St. Vincent's.

When not working, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching old Disney movies and taking relaxing trips to the beach.


Phil Davis, Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction

Phil is the Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction at Follow Us to Success. Phil has been involved in the education field for the past 15 years. He has spent time teaching as an NYC DOE teacher, lecturing in college, tutoring, and owned an after-school music education business. He has taught an extensive age range where his youngest student was 4, his oldest student was 62, and just about every age in between. Collectively, Phil has worked with thousands of students. 

Phil earned three degrees from Brooklyn College. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance, a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Education, and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling.

In his spare time, Phil enjoys reading, going to the gym, and spending time with his cat, Mr. Meows.


David Iscoe, Head Instructor

David Iscoe the Guidance Coach at Follow Us to Success. David is a writer and teacher with years of experience in professional comedy. He specializes in individualized feedback and helping each student find and express his/her personal stories. After attending public high school in Washington, D.C., David graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in history, and has worked as a local journalist, an EMT, an editor at the music startup Genius, and a staff writer and head writer in the video department at The Onion. He also teaches comedy workshops for adults, and works as a writing coach.

David was drawn to work with Follow Us when he saw a way to combine his teaching skills, his personal high-school-to-college journey, and his belief in socioeconomic equality. 

When he's not on the job or working on one of his many creative projects, David likes to play basketball, hike, and volunteer with local civics groups.
